Pope Francis given Joke Crucifix Gift by Bolivian President

pope upset at hammersickle

Evo Morales, President of Bolivia, presented a crucifix to Pope Francis on his Latin American tour, while in Bolivia. This crucifix was obviously a joke and an insult to the Catholic church. Evo Morales is a former Cocaine farmer, and a Marxist.

The crucifix wasn’t a simple cross with Jesus, it was a hammer-and-sickle emblem with Jesus being crucified on it. To alter the crucifixion and put Jesus on it is considered blasphemy, and the hammer-and-sickle makes the gift a joke. Communism’s primary emblem is the hammer-and-sickle. Communists are state atheists and have killed more people than any other ideology. One of their main targets in these genocides are Christians specifically.

Reports have said that the Pope was surprised and embarrassed by this gift, saying that "this isn't good", and "I don't think I would put this symbol on an altar in a church however,"

Catholic bishops like Spanish Jose Ignacio Munilla tweeted: "The height of arrogance is to manipulate God for the service of atheist ideologies." and Bolivian Bishop Gonzalo del Castillo said "This is a provocation, a joke".

The Bolivian government insisted there was no political motive behind the gift. Communications minister Marianela Paco said Morales had thought the “pope of the poor” would appreciate the gesture.

Pope Francis is already gaining a negative reputation for his past actions, and furthermore gives skeptics more reason to believe that the Pope possibly could be Marxist or Communist after he preached strong criticisms of capitalism and inequality.
